BECOME A NORTHFIELD HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM TOUR GUIDE
On September 7th, 1876, Northfield, Minnesota became an integral part of western history. On this day, ordinary Northfield citizens stood up to the notorious James and Younger Gang. Here’s an opportunity to tell this story to visitors from all over the world by becoming trained as a tour guide at the Northfield Historical Society. We will have lively discussions about the James and Younger Gang, from their violent background to their association with Minnesota and, of course, Northfield.
You don’t have to be a history buff to join. All that is required is an interest in sharing our dramatic story with our guests. You will be trained as a tour guide and be fully prepared to take a tour shift during the summer months. Be a part of our local history and tell the tales of this unique town and its brave citizens. We will meet on June 14th, 21st and 28th, at the Northfield Historical Society from 12-3 p.m.
