Northfield Middle School 6th grader, Alicia Lundell, received an honorable mention for her exhibit, "The Underground Railroad," at the Minnesota State History Day May 1 at the University of Minnesota.
She and six other students (Tipper Roster, Elizabeth Bateman, Becky Endert, Bethany Hagen, Elissa Dulski and Cassandra Laine) have been working on their history projects for months, advancing from the "South Regional" contest at Minnesota State University-Mankato last March to the state competition May 1.
The Northfield Historial Society is hoping to bring these wonderful exhibits to the Scriver Building in the near future. Stay tuned and/or watch our windows for more information.
