Spring Scribbler Gets Rave Reviews

Our spring/summer edition of the Scriver Scribbler, our bi-annual newsletter, seems to have caught the attention of many members and friends of the Northfield Historical Society.

The Scribbler went out May 4th and in short order we recieved several phone calls, personal visits and emails complimenting the content, the writing, the layout and design.

These responses are coming from not only members but highly respected historians and authors, most recently Robert Barr Smith, noted author of the very popular “The Last Hurrah of the James-Younger Gang.”

My personal thanks go out to all of our volunteer contributors, Rob Schanilec, Gail Jones, Scott Richardson, Dan Freeman, Earl Weinmann, Susannah Ottaway and Tracy Morris.

If you haven't seen a copy, drop by the Historical Society for a complimentary copy, or give us a call and we'll mail one out for you. Or better yet - become a member and know you'll receive every issue (we also publish a bi-annual Scriver Express) in the mail.

We're at 408 Division Street, Northfield, MN 55055 (507) 645-9268
