Northfield: A Western Story

Well when you thought that there could not be any more books written about the failed 1876 bank raid by the James-Younger Gang. Guess again, renowned western novelist Johnny D. Boggs has written his latest historical fiction book on that very topic. The book entitled Northfield: A Western Story will be out on June 25, 2007. This fictional account of the robbery takes the first person accounts of 20 people involved in the robbery (gang member or someone affected by) and tells the story of the gang's planning of the robbery to their escape. This is a great book, and it gives the reader a different perspective on the 1876 event. Boggs sticks very close to the facts of the robbery but adds his own spin to it.
