All new Bank Raid Exhibit

The Northfield Historical Society has produced and is proudly displaying an entirely new, dynamic and greatly expanded permanent Bank Raid exhibit. (Click photos for larger views.)

We expect that the professionalism, creativity, layout, depth of information and sheer size and scope of this exhibit will command national attention. We invite you to come and take-in this fantastic new presentation and bring your friends and family.

In addition to huge graphic display panels, we have designed a beautiful center island display case for our raid-related collections. This series of custom display cases were created to reflect the period, made of oak and glass with all the trimmings. Our new cases will allow us to more effectively display our artifacts in a way that the exhibit visitor can truly appreciate our collection.

This is just the start. We have begun the development of the Northfield history exhibit as well as a series ongoing rotating exhibits and special presentations. The Northfield exhibit will be set-up in what is now our reception area and will present a comprehensive story of the foundation and growth of Northfield over the past 150 years. Special areas in our larger exhibit areas will feature continually evolving Northfield displays and exhibits.

For the time being we are using our large window cases in the bank to display revolving exhibits most recently including, the history of the railroad in Northfield, the history of the Scriver Building, Northfield veterans and military, the history of Northfield football and the history of The Defeat of Jesse James Celebration.

Each of these exhibits are followed-up by live in-house presentations by local experts and historians. We are also placing special exhibits in a beautiful display case in the lobby of Premier Bank at 112 East Fifth Street in Northfield.
