Northfield Historical Society is an organization of high ethics and as such will not knowingly accept any item that has been illegally obtained or imported, recovered under conditions deemed unethical by professional standards, or recovered at the expense of the environment, cultural sites, or a cultural group.
Items accepted by the Northfield Historical society for use in its collection must have a free and clear title. Donors may be asked to produce proof of title or ownership. Native American objects must be properly vetted by NAGPRA.
