The most accurate and detailed history yet written of the 1876 James-Younger Gang's raid on the First National Bank of Northfield, Minnesota.
On the 125th anniversary of the defeat of the gang, author John Koblas provides a detailed compilation of the known facts surrounding the foiled robbery. Koblas combines an exhaustive sweep of original source materials with previously unpublished information from the vaults of Northfield to shed new light on the raid. He takes us from New Orleans to the streets of Northfield to the State Prison of Minnesota, forming a coherent picture of the plans leading up to the raid and the days following it.
