Summer Hours!

We will now follow our summer hours, which means we are open on Mondays! We are also increasing our hours and will be open until 5:00 p.m.   Enjoy the extended hours!


James-Younger Gang Negatives

Chadwell/StillesTonight at 6:30m, the Northfield Historical Society will receive one of its biggest donations in a while. Glass-plate negatives of the James-Younger Gang after their attempted robbery in 1876. The negatives are coming from former Northfielder Ben Nystuen, who now lives in Colorado. Be one of the first people to see the negatives before they go on permanent display!

Let Them Eat GrassNoted Minnesota author John Koblas will speak at the Northfield Historical Society Museum, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 17 on his new book Smoke, the first book of his Let Them Eat Grass trilogy recently published by North Star Press.


To Our Boy's In Service: Northfield and World War II

WW IITonight at 7:00 p.m. in Viking Theater on the Saint Olaf College campus we will premier our first documentary on Northfield history. This documentary focuses on the effect World War II had on Northfield through the words of Nellie "MOM" Phillips. The documentary will run about 30 minutes and was produced by two Saint Olaf interns.
