Since it is such a "beautiful" spring day, I thought I would show you a picture of Northfield in 1888 when the Cannon River was really high! Enjoy!

Mighty Stallion 4: Dancer's Dream is now available for pre-order in our museum store. This is the 4th installment in a series of books written by local author Victoria Kasten.

Last Saturday (March 24) we held our 2006 annual meeting at Carleton College’s Great Hall. The evening was a huge success. We updated our membership levels to include three new levels which are; senior level for $30 a year, student level for $30 a year and Individual for $40 a year. Following our brief business meeting Sam Demas, Head Librarian and Senior Lecturer of Carleton College gave a great presentation on developing a history collaborative.

Welcome to our new and improved Northfield Historical Society website.  The site launched on Monday and I just wanted to take a second and explain some of the new features.

On the left side of the screen you can see the navigation bar.  All of those pages will either lead you to a page about NHS or an interactive page.
