Friends and members of the Northfield Historical Society are invited to attend the NHS annual meeting at the Northfield Golf Club. Reservations are required - cost is $20 per person. Call 645-9268.

The Historical Society's Scriver Building is about to undergo significant change, inside and out. The peaked roof will disappear, the tin ceiling will be removed and exhibit spaces and lighting will receive major upgrades.

Hundreds gathered as John and Anne North (portrayed by Chip DeMann and Marion Hvistendahl) kicked off Northfield's Sesquicentennial Celebration Jan. 29 with an evening walk across the river, commemorating John's vision of Northfield 150 years ago, and Anne and the children's arrival a year later.
