Join us Saturday, Nov. 5, for yet another Not-To-Be-Missed Historical Society Event! Ed the Auctioneer has invited us all to join him at Club Ed (The Grand) for an evening of fun to support the Northfield Historical Society!

JAMES-YOUNGER GANG CAPTURED!

Captured in the act - that is. The lights of the Scriver Building cast a glow across the Division Street sidewalk last night and a melodius ruckus spilled out onto the street.

GET YOUR CAMERAS, BOYS, THEY'RE PLAYING THE BANK!

Instead of fighting them, NHS Executive Director Mark Fagerwick grabbed his guitar and showed those southern boys that this yankee could play!

The James-Younger Gang, family and friends are in town for their Annual Meeting and a Northfield Historical Society hosted Symposium on the 1876 Bank Raid (see post below).

Jesse James' Great Grandson

Judge Jame R. Ross returned to the crime scene Thursday night, Sept. 8, where his great grandfather and great uncle, Jesse and Frank James, attempted their ill-fated robbery of the First National Bank of Northfield. Vowing not to turn his back on the audience, he gave an account of the James clan to date and answered questions from an overflowing crowd about movie depictions, his great grandfather's fate and the personalities of family members.
